In this role, the Executive Producer is responsible for the successful execution and performance of 2-4 cross-platform projects working directly with development and related support teams including management of multiple Producers. The Executive Producer will develop and execute efficient production practices through all stages of game development, aligning product vision, budget, development schedule, and staffing decisions with studio goals. This entails active involvement throughout the project, from its inception, through production, and including the support of live content.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all aspects of effectively bringing profitable products to market
Manage production staff and leads to ensure project needs are clearly defined, effectively communicated and addressed
Institutionalize Telltale episodic production processes, adapting to the needs of specific projects and ensuring quality and efficiency
Oversee the management of multiple complex projects concurrently, including review and refinement of project vision, scope, quality, and requirements. Work with team leadership to define and implement plans for improvement
Identify the need for and recruit critical talent
Allocate and track required resources; communicate status to senior management
Provide hands-on mentoring in areas such as requirements analysis, project management, communication, organization, leadership, etc.
Review, comment and approve milestone submissions. Work with team leadership to formulate plans to address issues and opportunities in upcoming milestones.
Liaison between executive staff, development team , licensors, and first party partners
Work with team leadership to ensure synchronization with studio goals
Budget management against individual product P/L's
Interact and negotiate with talent, creative and agents relating to feature film, TV, and publishing in coordination executive leadership and legal
Write and hold effective performance reviews, motivating positive change
Essential Experience
Must have had Producer, Project Manager, or Development Director responsibility on at least two or preferably more successful AAA game development projects, managing game development teams to on-time delivery, quality expectations and budget
Bachelor?s degree and/or equivalent work experience in related business
7+ Years of production and project management experience, preferably in a development environment
Previous experience as a creative visionary within the games industry creating top quality games
Proven people management, mentoring, and development skills
Must have excellent comprehension of all aspects of game production (management, planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, programming/technology, design, art, audio, video, localization, QA)
Must have knowledge of modern game console hardware and capabilities
Must have good sense of current gaming trends and market competition
Must have good communication skills, balanced decisiveness, and clarity in judgment and establishing priorities
Must be familiar with standard project accounting procedures
