Job summary:GFI Software is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to help develop test automation infrastructure supporting our line of security products. You will work as a technical contributor on the anti-malware technologies Test Engineering team, providing technical leadership for test infrastructure development. As a member of the AVQA team, you will define, optimize, develop and validate next generation test automation infrastructure, helping ensure the reliability of GFI's anti-malware technology.
Responsibilities:
Architect, develop and extend a variety of complex test automation infrastructure systems to support automated testing of our technologies, using Agile and TDD methodologies
Interact closely with cross-functional teams to ensure performant, high-quality test automation / test infrastructure systems are built to spec and shipped on schedule
Monitor infrastructure operations to ensure automated systems operate efficiently and as expected
Analyze, debug and report infrastructure system defects and verify fixed defects by creating appropriate test cases
Help develop and evangelize best engineering practices throughout AV Lab
Plan and oversee the creation of test plans
Collaborate with analysts and junior engineers to ensure test plans are executed correctly
Communicate with cross functional teams
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
6 years coding experience in any object oriented programming language (C++,C#,Ruby)
Solid understanding of Windows or Linux systems programming
Scripting skills in at least one common language (Ruby, Perl, Shell, Python)
Highly self-motivated and self-starting
Good understanding of algorithms and computer science fundamentals
Excellent problem solving skills
Other desired qualifications:
Experience in an Agile/Scrum, TDD methodologies
Database programming experience
Prior experience with development of test automation
