Expert Linux System Administrator A10 Networks

Required Skills:


5 years or more direct work experience
Bachelors of Science degree in engineering, computer science, math or physics
Experience with Redhat/CentOS/Fedora, Ubuntu, or other Linux distribution
Experience managing multiple servers
Experience managing local users, authentication via an external systems such as AD and NIS/NIS+
Expertise in at least two scripting languages (Shell, Perl, Python, TCL, etc.)
Experience using and specifying server class hardware
Experience installation of Linux distribution from scratch
Ability to install software packages from source as required
Experience with backup, recovery solutions
Experience with monitoring and alerting solutions
Ability to troubleshoot, isolate and resolve issues related to systems or networking quickly
Ability to work with 3rd paty vendors on quotations, technical support, inquiries, etc.
Ability to produce high quality documentation
Ability mentor and train other team members
Attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple issues
Knowledge of
File systems, NFS, CIFS, iSCSI
IPv4 networking, including TCP/IP, SMTP/POP/IMAP, HTTP/S, LDAP
Local and external authentication and access control
DNS, DHCP
Firewall, antivirus, malware protection, security hardening

Desired Skills:


Redhat Certified Engineer or Architect or comparable certification (Novell, LPI)
Experience with replication or clustering technologies
IPv6 networking
Experience with change management and control
Experience with inventory and asset management
Experience with applications such as Apache/Tomcat, MySQL, and Postfix
Virtualization such as VMware, Xen, or KVM
Ability to work outside field of expertise such as to support Windows Active Directory environment, email support, networking support
