Job Description
Responsibilities: Responsible for mechanical service and in-house repairs throughout facility. As required, monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. Supervises and manages other outside service providers & contractors, ensuring satisfactory performance of work within defined budget. Performs work in multiple trades including carpentry and painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, and telecommunications / networking. Performs routine equipment repair and installation. Makes periodic special inspections of premises to determine repair work necessary. Responsible for managing the design, planning, construction and maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings. Plans and schedules facility modifications including estimates on equipment, labor, material and other related costs. Responsible for understanding and complying with Quality System requirements. Oversees the coordination of building space allocation and layout, communication services and facilities expansion. Supports operation and maintenance of building and pharmaceutical support utilities, including steam and hot water boilers, HVAC units, air compressors, gas systems, chillers, refrigerators, freezers, autoclaves, and water purification systems. Ability to work off-hours is required, including nights and weekends, as well as being on-call to respond to events by coming to the company location on nights / weekends. Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may from time to time be assigned.
Requirements
Requisite Education/Skills/Certifications:
?Minimum Education: High school diploma plus technical education in a relevant field (Electrical, carpentry, HVAC, Plumbing, etc) or the combination of experience and training that is equivalent
?Fluent in English, both oral and written
?Ability to follow written instructions and perform recordkeeping / logging of maintenance activities.
?Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook computer software
?Skilled in a maintenance trade, including using drawings, mathematics, reference books, formulas, and measuring instruments
Ideal Education/Skills/Certifications:
?Associates degree or higher in a relevant field.
?Electrical or plumbing license.
?Experience with a work order or maintenance management software package.
?Previous experience with a pharmaceutical manufacturer.
