The Facilities-Materials Lead in the Supply Chain-Facilities Group is primarily responsible for the proper warehousing and inventory maintenance of cGMP materials and performing light facilities activities including maintenance, repair, and building system monitoring duties. The Facilities-Materials Lead provides direction and oversight to other Materials and Facilities Technicians as well as on-site facility contractors. On off-shifts, the Facilities-Materials Lead is responsible for assessing non-routine materials and facilities events, determining an immediate course of action, coordinating actions with shift Production Supervision, and communicating activities to management. The lead will assist in the preparation and revision of SOP?s and other controlled documents.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Develop and revise SOP?s, specifications, forms, and other controlled documents that relate to Facilities and Supply Chain. Manage the assignment of all part numbers.
Receive, inspect, warehouse, and distribute cGMP raw materials, components, intermediates, and final drug product material per established SOP?s and Controlled Material Specifications.
Assist in day to day facilities activities including, but not limited to:
Assist in monitoring safety elements and facility operations/perform daily walk-throughs as assigned
Respond to Building System Alarms during and between normal work shifts as assigned.
Complete minor maintenance service requests as assigned.
Assist in monitoring work performed by outside contractors.
Start and/or shut down facility systems as required.
Perform duties of Boiler Attendant including starts, shut downs, and operational checks per SOP?s and equipment manuals.
Track commodity and floor stock materials and reorder to maintain target inventories.
Maintain current Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for use in the facility.
COMPLIANCE WITH SAFETY GUIDELINES
Use safety eyewear while inside a manufacturing area.
Use temperature resistant gloves when necessary.
Know appropriate emergency response procedures.
Know locations of first aid kits, safety showers, and spill kits.
Know evacuation route and assembly area to be used in case of fire or earthquake.
Observe safe chemical handling practices
Observe all required gowning procedures throughout the manufacturing area.
Observe all safety guidelines related to warehousing and material movement equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
Follow cGMP and Zosano Good Documentation Practices.
Record information accurately.
Make corrections in a timely manner.
Check all necessary calculations.
Review pre-recorded data for accuracy and completion.
Ensure all entries are neat and legible
Understand operator and verifier responsibilities
Review labels and calibration stickers for accuracy
Follow up on documentation errors.
Maintain personal Training Record
The Lead provides direction and oversight to Supply Chain and Facilities technicians and on-site contractors. On off-shifts, the Lead is the primary materials and facilities contact to Manufacturing.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma
AA degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6 years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of desktop computers and commonly used software packages.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work within a team oriented environment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Valid California Driver?s License
Experience in GMP facility maintenance
Experience in a pharmaceutical or bio pharmaceutical environment is preferred.
Able to deal with customers at all levels
Must be able to be gown qualified
Must be able to work with minimum supervision
Must be able to work off shift and weekends
