Facilities Technician Precision Therapeutics
Precision Therapeutics, Inc. is a diagnostics services company dedicated to providing physicians and patients with actionable clinical information to personalize cancer treatments. We are currently seeking a Facilities Technician.
Primary Responsibilities: (Include the following: other duties may be assigned)
As a member of the Materials/Facilities team, the Facilities Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Perform general maintenance work such as, scheduling Floor cleanings, hanging pictures/whiteboards, moving furniture and general equipment cleaning to ensure a clean, safe work environment.
Completes regular inspections of facilities including buildings, equipment, systems and work of vendors.
Completes vendor audits for services rendered.
Identifies building and equipment issues and remedies by working with Materials Management team, landlord or vendor to schedule or perform electrical, painting or HVAC work.
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures through use of EMS.
Ensure system specification, design and troubleshooting documentation is created, maintained and modified as appropriate and adhering to all regulatory requirements.
Adherence to change control processes and procedures.
Act as Access Key Controller for all sites.
Provide backup to other Materials Management areas. Available to respond to 24 hour emergency calls for facility or equipment related issues.
Occasional night and weekend support as needed
High School Diploma/GED required
2 years trade school preferred
2-3 years of prior maintenance experience preferred
Course work involving electronics, mechanical systems, and HVAC Systems
Work or community service experience which require professional etiquette and leadership qualities preferred.
Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service and administrative support in a customer service environment.
Working knowledge of general property operations, HVAC, safety, plumbing, electrical & appliance repair.
Ability to understand technical drawings and schematics
Attention to detail and organization required
Ability to work independently and in small teams
Demonstrate organizational skills to handle multiple and changing priorities
Ability to independently prioritize tasks and work efficiently
Demonstrate ability to write documentation for a technical audience
Well developed and effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Effective communication in English, both written and spoken
Standing for long periods of times
Use of computer keyboard and mouse for extended periods
Ability to travel between laboratory sites (all within the City of Pittsburgh)
Lifting up to 50 lbs
Cubicle space with shared team areas
Individual workstations with shared development server resources
