JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a hands-on Facility and Equipment Engineer. Reporting to the Facility, EH&S and Equipment Manager at Bridgelux Corporate Headquarters in Livermore, CA, this individual will work as a resource in facilities and EH&S as well as be a technical resource in MOCVD lab.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage facility projects and specify facility requirements for R&D and mfg projects.
• Provide Hands on technical support for facility and Epi Technicians.
• Maintain and modify Building Management Systems.
• Help maintain and develop CMMS system for both Epi and Facilities.
• Responsible for Life safety system and BMS alarms and able to respond in timely matter.
• Interact with City Officials, Inspectors and Fire Department for permit, safety and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and analyze competitive quotes for lab expansions and special projects.
• Coordinate facility works with outside contractors.
• Help Epi Process engineer with design and modifications to Epi reactors.
• Assist in troubleshooting MOCVD Reactors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of all facilities equipment.
• Proficient at AutoCAD.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with life safety system.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as an engineer in facilities and 3 years' experience in a MOCVD lab.
• Strong Knowledge of 2007 California Building Code and California Fire Code as pertains to semiconductor manufacturing operations and the Hazardous Materials inherent to these operations.
• Familiar with OSHA regulations and provide guidance for safe working environment.
• Be part of the team to be on call and respond to any Facilities and Life Safety Alarms.
• Great team player and a good team leader when called upon.
