Federal Solutions Engineer Basis Technology
Basis Technology is looking for a self-motivated Federal Solutions Engineer to drive the technical aspects of the pre-sales process, and to assist in the design and implementation of custom solutions using our industry-leading text analytics products. The candidate will work closely with sales, marketing, and product management to pursue leads within the federal government. In some instances, the individual will serve as the subject matter expert during the deployment phase, which could include hands-on development. This individual will be the primary technical resource for the federal sales team and be a key technical advisor and evangelist for our products and solutions. An ideal candidate thrives on helping customers solve challenging issues and is interested in applying advanced text analytics tools to solve real-world problems.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our highly developed text analytics products
Present products and solutions to prospective clients, including executives, technical staff, and end-users
Develop and conduct training sessions for sales staff and customers
Build and advance technical relationships with existing customers
Provide architectural and technical implementation advice to potential customers
Work with sales and product management to build and customize proof-of-concept applications
Develop detailed proposals for clients outlining software, services, responsibilities and timelines
Assist in the implementation of some custom solutions
Qualifications
TS/SCI Clearance
BS or MS degree in computer science or equivalent
3+ years of sales engineering experience
2+ years of software engineering experience
Excellent presentation, written communication and customer relationship skills
Significant customer-facing experience, preferably in a high tech company
Able to communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical people
Able to work seamlessly in a team development environment
Willing and able to travel and/or work on the client site up to 25% of the time
