Field Application Engineer LATAM Mobixell Networks, Inc.
Reports to the Customer Services Manager
Mobixell does not have a legal entity in Brazil, therefore the chosen candidate would have to be an independent consultant of Mobixell or be employed by a third party local company.
Works closely with Mobixell?s Customers and System Integrators regarding deployments, and integration activities for Telecommunication Mobile Operators.
In certain cases, may be requested to provide technical support to Mobixell?s customers (2nd, 3rd, 3.5 tier support).
Bachelor?s Degree in a related technical discipline (Computer science or Telecommunications are preferred) and 2-3 years relevant experience/ or 5-6 years relevant experience without college or university degree.
At least 2-3 years' experience in a development and/or integration/deployment position; Alternatively, experience as system/IT manager or network engineer/Sys Admin (LINUX), preferably at mobile operators.
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux sys admin, Bash, Networking.
Hands-on experience and knowledge of Systems integration with TCP/IP skills in data networking and internetworking (Cisco switches, routers and F5 load balancers, firewall).
Familiarity with WAP, MMS or mobile Value Added Services.
Good knowledge of LAN network infrastructure: security, routing, network management, performance management.
Proficiency in at least one relevant software programming and control language as Java/C/C++.
Location: Brazil, Sau Paulo area (preferably close to Campinas)
Fluent English, Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Availability to travel and support projects abroad for up to 50% of the time.
Willingness to work during non-business hours.
Experience in customer facing position (customer support, integration/deployment engineer, pre-sale engineer etc.).
Proven experience in identifying problems and providing technical solutions to customer?s needs.
