Summary
Reporting to the Regional Marketing Director Americas, the Federal Field Marketing Manager is responsible for driving the marketing strategy, plans and execution of end-user and channel partner programs to generate awareness, demand and ultimately pipeline for the Federal market. This role will leverage Global Programs that should be localized to support federal messaging and key use cases, as well as drive creation and development of programs directly ? including direct mail, email, telemarketing, webinars, seminars, online advertising, PPC, and events. This role will also be actively engaging with key channels ? including service providers, technology partners and resellers, and so requires these routes to market to be integrated components to the Federal marketing plan.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, sales or marketing.
Advanced degree in business management, marketing, desirable.
Skills:
5-8 years mid-senior level marketing experience working with or for IT (IT security preferred) in a Federal / Public Sector Marketing environment
Proven expertise in voice of customer in enterprise technology, including ability to effectively script, position, and educate internal sales teams, partners and customers on the advantages of IT security
Proven experience of planning, managing and executing effective & creative lead generation & channel marketing programs (including but not limited to direct/email, online advertising, promotions, webinars, telemarketing, radio/print advertising) in the Federal market.
Experience of integrating and managing channel marketing initiatives to support the demand generation activities an advantage
Must have the motivation to become a company expert and eager to obtain the required knowledge
Organized, thorough, attention to detail and execution oriented, and able to manage several projects simultaneously
Must be results focused and understand key metrics for measuring marketing results
Intermediate knowledge of CRM systems (Microsoft CRM or SFDC) a plus
Proven ability to work well with all levels of management and peers in a matrix structure essential
Both a team player and a self starter, with a strong drive and goal orientated approach
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include, but are not limited, to, the following:
Plan, execute and measure a strategic marketing plan that supports the goals of new business generation, customer retention, customer expansion, and pipeline building for new products. Plans to be built and shared in collaboration with the Federal Sales VP, Regional Federal Sales Teams, Director of Government Solutions Marketing and other key Federal stakeholders
Develop joint go-to-market plans with key federal channels to market ? including resellers, system integrators, service providers or technology partners
Localize Global Programs to support federal use cases and messaging, and ensure results are tracked and measured to maximize qualified lead conversion, and ultimately pipeline and revenue
Create local Federal programs that incorporates email, direct, TM, online, radio advertising, content syndication, webinars as well as conference speaking program, customer and partner communications, and regional seminars and events
Alongside Solutions Marketing Director, Government Solutions, create and develop messaging and use cases to support all external marketing deliverables, including PR, web, speaking pitches and programs.
Provide content and updates to the web team to ensure federal messaging and use cases are always up-to-date, along with all other online properties, such as PPC or SEO landing pages
Build & deliver product launch plans to federal customers and partners, and measure pipeline growth contribution
Analyze program performance to ensure federal programs are optimized to constantly be improving ROI
Become power user for Microsoft CRM, and manage all lead import, lead follow-up processes and updates.
Educate, monitor and drive, alongside VP Federal Sales, the inside sales and federal sales team to ensure Microsoft CRM updates are accurately recorded to provide detailed analysis for ROI metrics and revenue contribution
Budget management, accurate forecasting and reporting: financially accountable for regional marketing spend and ROI results
