Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our marketing department. The primary mission of the Field Marketing Specialist is to empower our direct and indirect sales teams with the sales tools, sales training and marketing support they need to sell Overture solutions most effectively. The position reports to the Director of Marketing and is based in RTP, North Carolina.
The Field Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing sales collateral, customer success stories, presentations, business case tools based on the dynamic needs of the international field sales and channel management organization. The purpose is to ensure that sales reps and channel partners have the necessary pipeline, knowledge, and sales tools to achieve revenue targets. This roll is a combination product marketing, channel marketing, marketing communications manager, solutions marketing. This position requires professional interaction with the Overture sales team, the Overture product management team and our customer's technical and marketing personnel.
This is a hands-on role and this person will be responsible for taking a project from concept to production and - doing most of the requirements gathering, research, collaboration, project management, writing, illustration and training.
Duties:
Key Responsibilities:
? Create sales tools that clearly articulate key messaging to target audiences and industry verticals to drive prospect response and interest in Overture. Tools include: Email templates, target campaigns, prospecting call scripts, presentation templates, jointly branded marketing materials and positioning/messaging documents.
? Create marketing programs that are "packaged" to be structured, repeatable and have clear instructions for easy execution by channel partners and field sales. Programs include seminars, webinars and joint field events.
? Build sales training and channel partner training materials that help sales to position Overture competitively and deliver compelling messaging to identify qualified prospects.
? Work with Marketing Communications to ensure accurate, timely and effective communications and content on the sales and partner portal
? Empower channel partners to promote Overture on their websites, email campaigns and social networks
? Track, manage and measure the success of Field Marketing Programs and events.
? Work with the product management team to research and create competitive briefs that help the organization position against competitors and identify competitive threats. Own the process of disseminating this information to the field.
Qualifications:
? 10+ years experience in the telecommunications market, ideally communications hardware and software products and services.
? Ability to identify effective sales tools and sales training for direct and channel sales teams
? Demonstrated understanding of Direct and Channel go-to-market models.
? Demonstrated experience understanding and applying marketing metrics and tools to measure results of sales training, events and programs
? Superior knowledge of MS Office tools, Web based marketing and communication tools, use of the Internet for research, & social media.
? Experience using Pardot & Salesforce.com or similar Marketing Automation or CRM application
? Ability to manage multiple projects, with excellent time management, organization and planning skills.
? Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
? Demonstrated experience working and collaborating with direct and channel sales teams.
? Successful experience working directly with channel partners to develop marketing programs.
? Hands-on experience in multimedia production would be beneficial.
Qualifications and Education:
? Bachelors Degree required, Masters preferred
? Highly self motivated with demonstrated strong work ethic
? Willingness to travel up to 30%
