A Good Technology Field Sales Engineer 2 works in the field directly with prospects, customers and partners managing all the technical aspects of pre-sales activities supporting the field sales force team at the account level through a successful deployment. The successful candidate will be the main technical and product adviser on Good Technology?s products. This individual must be able to identify all technical requirements around feature, architecture, and product with the account resulting in a deployable Good Technology product based solution. The candidate must proficient with installing and configuring server based software that utilizes relational databases, application services, advanced networking and routing technologies along with custom web content script coding for process automation. The Field Sales Engineer must also be proficient in the ability to maintain strong technical relationships with accounts both in a pre-sales and post-sales capacity resulting in strong long-term revenue generating accounts.
? Responsible for delivery of onsite technical product presentations
? Responsible for onsite technical custom product demonstrations
? Design and architect a runtime production solution
? Provide onsite product installations and custom product configurations
? Design and develop customer back office server scripts and portals based on customers? needs.
? Provide onsite product administrative and end user training
? Develop POC mobile applications using Good Technology mobile application framework
? Work with accounts on setting deployment methodologies using Good?s product.
? Work directly with Product Management team as a liaison to accounts around technical product requirements.
? Effectively interact with internal engineering teams to scope out and provide solutions to complex technical issues for highly visible account opportunities.
? Ability to respond to technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
? Ability to travel throughout assigned sales territory 50-60% of the time.
? Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited school.
? Minimum 6-10 years Sales Engineering experience.
? Extensive knowledge and experience provide software solution to Federal Government Agencies
? Proficient with compliance standards, regulatory and accreditation requirements and processes
? Minimum 5+ years experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, DNS, Microsoft Exchange, and IIS required.
? Minimum 5+ years experience in computer software or systems including security products (firewalls, anti-virus, intrusion detection, content security, and anti-SPAM technologies), www, email, ftp, networking, Internet application platform technology, database and analytical related technologies.
? Strong knowledge and technical competence in messaging architecture.
? Experience working with integration solutions, and software API?s
? Minimum of 5 years of experience working with relational databases (i.e. SQL).
? Knowledge of routers, switches, and firewalls.
? In-depth knowledge and strong operating experience in at least one of the following area's of specialization: VPN's, Security, Remote/Local Access, WAN, or Wireless (relevant to assignment).
? Experience with mobile application development methodologies
? Experience developing mobile applications using C programming language and/or HTML Web 2.0
? Quick learner with desire to learn new tools and techniques.
? Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, accounts management with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients, over the phone and in person.
