Summary
The Field Service and Support Engineer provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and service and repair of complex equipment and systems in a broad European territory. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving operational quality of system equipment, instructing customers in the operation and maintenance of the system, and serving as the company liaison with customers on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. In addition, this position will be responsible for interpreting customer needs and appropriately delegating responsibility for problem resolution to sales personnel, applications support, or engineering. Also promotes the sale of service contracts and provides technical support to the Singulex sales and applications teams.
Description
Provide configuration and instrumentation support for laboratory automation and liquid handling equipment.(IQ/OQ/PQ)
Management of preventative maintenance programs.
Response to service and support requests.
Escalation of customer support issues to meet customer and commercial objectives.
Biomedical equipment optimization and performance verification.
Document customer-focused requirements and measurable specifications for laboratory conformance processes.
Participation in 24/7 operation including after hours, both onsite and remotely.
Qualifications
BS/BA degree in engineering or related field required, with 3-5 years relevant work experience. MS Degree desirable.
Experience supporting laboratory automation for use in a clinical environment (e.g., TECAN, Hamilton, Agilent platform).
Knowledge of immunoassay methods used for protein analysis, with experience in the following assay formats highly desirable: ELISA, bead (e.g., Luminex platform), or ECL.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as ability to understand, prepare, and communicate technical scientific information to a wide range of audiences.
Experience with preventive maintenance (PM) management, reliability tracking and root cause analysis documentation highly desirable.
Current passport and willingness to travel up to 70%
