Provides highly visible customer support through the performance of on-site installation, as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Checks out and approves operational quality of system equipment. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of the system. Serves as company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects. Interprets customers? needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel, customer support reps, or engineers. This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PCs, and networking/wireless networking.
o Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Programming or a related field or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics
o 2 years of implementation and/or technical support or coordination experience including operations support experience either in an in-house or field environment.
o Broad technical knowledge base, including hardware, software, network, data, coding and deployment.
o Excellent interpersonal skills, active listening, verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills with multi-tasking abilities required.
o Possess the ability to organize and prioritize required tasks, work well under pressure and with deadlines and the ability to develop and follow a project plan.
o Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, systematic approach to completing tasks
o Work independently and function as a member of a team and have the ability to engage fully and work cooperatively with colleagues from a variety of disciplines.
o Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
o Strong skills in SQL, UNIX and Windows.
o Understanding of programming, relational databases, SQL and Perl.
o Must be able to perform data analysis and must be customer focused.
o Experience with database query writing and conditional logic.
o Quality assurance experience a plus.
o Excellent problem-solving skills.
o A demonstrated pattern of keeping commitments and maintaining a high commitment to quality.
o Demonstrated ability to effectively follow established processes and procedures.
