Field Service Engineer DriveCam
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Position Summary:
DriveCam is looking for an experienced, energetic, hands-on Vehicle Integration Engineer (VIE) who has extensive in-vehicle electronics knowledge and a firm understanding of on-board computer methodologies. The successful VIE will be responsible for assisting both the DriveCam Sales and Implementation Services teams in their efforts to secure new business by serving as a technical resource for pre and post sales activities, and the successful integration of DriveCam products and services into our customer?s operating environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop detailed plans to successfully integrate DriveCam products and services into the customer?s basic workflow and information technology infrastructure.
Collaborate with Engineering, Implementation and Marketing teams to create detailed installation and workflow tools to facilitate the deployment of DriveCam products and services.
Successful identify the IT and Vehicle Maintenance infrastructure support requirements needed to make DriveCam products and services perform successfully.
Assist in the actual deployment, debugging, and acceptance testing of DriveCam products and services.
Provide assistance to Customer Support in providing on-going support to DriveCam customers
Must have extensive in-vehicle electronics knowledge and a firm understanding of on-board computer methodologies
Proven ability to analyze customer workflow requirements and customer IT infrastructure requirements
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, product and component information, systems manuals.
Experience developing installation, infrastructure, and deployment programs
Ability to work with internal teams to install and test products and services at the customer site
Must have excellent customer interfacing skills
Must be a skilled presenter, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a self-starter, proactive and dedicated in nature, and a team player.
Must have the ability to travel up to 50% of time.
Must have experience interfacing directly with customers
A Bachelor?s degree in engineering or related field
Extensive in vehicle knowledge with related certifications (ASE, manufacturer specific, or trade school)
Minimum of two to four years related experience
2+ years of experience directly supporting a technical product or service.
Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
