Field Service Engineer - Upper Midwest Optovue

Responsibilities: Provide On-Site Service to customers; provide both verbal and written technical support to end users and sales/applications representatives. This responsibility includes resolving service and technical problems by phone, email response and when necessary performing field service calls at the customer site resolving routine end-user problems in assigned product areas. All support will be given in accordance with contractual requirements, and by maintaining timely, complete, and accurate problem status data.
Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
Review and make suggestions for improvement on marketing instructions and customer letters
Provide both remote and on-site support to customers.
Provide IT/Network support for customers.
Requirements:
AS in Engineering or Sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least two years experience as a Field Service/Technical Support Engineer in a related field, or equivalent technical experience in a medical device company.
Knowledge of Networking hardware and software and ability to troubleshoot network issues.
Should have a very high degree of technical proficiency, excellent problem solving skills, and analytical abilities since they will be required to provide solutions to technical problems at the customer site.
The Field Service Engineer should have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal with customers by phone, email and personal contact.
Experience in Medical Device capital equipment highly desirable.
Knowledge of Optics theory and functionality desirable but not required.
75% or above travel required.
