Field Service Manager Quanterix

Job Code: FS-100Quanterix is looking for a hands-on field service manager to join our team and help define our field service organization. He or she will be responsible for hiring, training and managing a team of engineers delivering world class service and support for our groundbreaking HD-1 instrument platform scheduled to be released to the North American research market in 2013.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Recruits, hires, trains and develops Field Service Engineers
Selects and develops team leads to support field service
Evaluates and coaches team leads and front-line employees
Evaluates field personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Provide rollup reports on customer satisfaction metrics, customer needs and feedback, field activities and installations
Develops detailed customer installation documentation and/or system integration plans
Work with management team to define interfaces with ERP and CRM systems as related to field service
Serves as company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.

Qualifications:
BS in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, related degree with knowledge in the biotechnology/biomedical industry, or applicable military experience.
Must be highly motivated and have strong problem solving ability.
10+ years biotech experience preferred
Previous management experience required
Must be willing to travel up to 50%,
Prior field experience supporting customers
Prior experience with improving customer service and support processes
Outstanding problem solving and interpersonal skills,
Demonstrated written and verbal communication and training skills,
Clear vision of and commitment to providing outstanding customer service
