CorpU is looking for a creative Final Cut Pro editor/preditor to join our growing team. Working under the direction of our Creative Director and VP/Learning Solutions, this person will primarily take studio-recorded material and "own" its editing workflow for final delivery. They'll bring the content to life visually, while collaborating with our in-house team to consistently shape the editorial flow.
Storytelling and the ability to deliver compelling user experiences are required. Experience in Motion and Aftereffects are strongly desired as are familiarity with DAMs, OVPs and the general organization of content. Responsible for delivering technical and content decisions of assigned productions and subsequent revisions.
Candidates must be willing to work onsite in our beautiful downtown Philly loft (river views and 4 blocks from 30th Street Station).
Major Responsibilities:
Manage all post-production to final delivery using expert knowledge of FCP (v. 7)
Devise and achieve creative solutions to a variety of challenges within a fast-paced production team environment
Hands-on editing of recorded material using Creative Director's and learning designers' eyes to enhance the content with supporting visuals
Work independently and in cooperation with other editors, learning designers, graphic artists and team leaders ? as part of a production team
Meet exacting content requirements and delivery deadlines; stay on schedule
Manipulate materials to correctly portray both the information and the emotion of a project
Work directly with producers and graphic artists to assemble, create and manipulate visual elements
Image manipulation and color correction of all assigned projects
Desire & interest in additional responsibilities, including shooting and directing in both our studio and on location
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience as a video editor for a post house/television studio/or other video production
Advanced Final Cut Pro editing experience
Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced production environment
Proven ability to work within a set schedule and time constraints without sacrificing creativity and quality of final product
Skill in communicating; be able to both give advice and take direction well
Sense of humor a must!!
Able to use both MAC and PC computer applications
Knowledge of any of the following a plus: Motion, Aftereffects, Maya3D, and Adobe Illustrator
Experience in HD workflows
Strong interest in building a first-of-its-kind post and live action production studio
