The Final Document Resolution Assistant is responsible for correcting final document deficiencies identified through the legal review process
? Through direct contact with internal departments, attorneys, investors, closing agents, title companies, recording offices, and borrowers, correct document deficiencies and complete the re-recoding process
? Complete a daily balance of the failed document review report to assure all failed documents have been escalated to the resolution team
? Assess the document review results to determine the scope of the document deficiency
? Initiate the escalation process for non curative items including Title Claim and Notification to the IRS
? Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of state/county recording requirements
? Responsible for the accurate and detailed tracking of the resolution progress for each issue
? Perform at a level that meets or exceeds critical measure goals
? Employee must demonstrate an understanding of the sensitive and confidential nature of the information they work with in this position and must adhere to professional ethical standards.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)
? Knowledge of state and county recording requirements for securing lien position
? Knowledge of chain of title
? Knowledge of MERS (mortgage electronic registration system)
? Knowledge of final documents: assignment, mortgage, title policy, CEMA, UCC1, UCC3, and other documents
? Ability to identify to most effective means for the resolution of deficient documents
? Ability to persuade others to assist efforts in correcting deficient documents
? Self Finisher who can work with minimum supervision
? Must be able to work in a fast past high volume work environment
? Must be flexible and able to change focus on a moments notice
? Must have a sense of urgency
? Strong organizational skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Training and Experience
? Three years Mortgage Banking experience with 1 year final document review, research, or resolution experience
? 1 Year customer service or collections experience preferably within a phone center environment
? Proficiency using MS Office applications
? High School degree
