Finance and Accounting Manager - London Finance | London, United Kingdom Marin Software is experiencing significant international growth and is seeking a finance manager to lead the Company's accounting and finance function in its London office. This position will be responsible for the financial management of the London, Paris, Hamburg and Stockholm offices. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, focused on continuous improvement, and has had experience with US GAAP accounting for internal reporting, local GAAP for statutory reporting and software or SaaS industry experience. The position will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures, as well ensuring compliance with all required statutory regulations. This individual may also be involved with various ad hoc analyses of critical business issues for senior management. This is a hands-on position with one direct report, and will report to Marin's Corporate Controller in San Francisco with a dotted line to the Europe General Manager. Role Responsibilities
Ensure all accounting processes are operating effectively for EU entities
Ensure all reconciliations, close processes and monthly close packages are completed in compliance with Company's accounting policies and on time
Produce monthly P&L's and balance sheets timely and accurately
Produce and review periodic financial reports with European General Manager
Work closely with Global Revenue and Billing Manager to ensure billing for customers in EU region is issued timely and accurately
Provide timely response to billing and collection inquiries from both internal and external customers.
Review weekly cash flows and ensure receivables are collected in a timely basis
Complete weekly accounts payable runs
Complete all payroll functions timely
Assist with quarterly and annual budget cycles, and maintain updated views on actuals
Manage and control overhead costs for European offices
Manage and coordinate all local audits and tax compliance needs, including providing schedules and analysis for the completion of the audits and income tax return filings
Manage local banking, audit and tax relationships
Aid in developing and maintaining SOX documentation and procedures
Lead and support ad hoc special projects as required
Experience & Requirements
Bachelors degree in Finance or Business preferred
Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ ACA / ACCA or equivalent) with five to seven years work experience
Working knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP and IFRS.
Software or SaaS industry experience highly regarded; experience with U.S. public company a plus
Working knowledge of European VAT
Excellent written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task, plan, execute and deliver on projects timely
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Commitment to excellence and impeccable ethical standards and integrity
Netsuite experience a plus, but tier one ERP (Oracle or SAP) experience required
Advanced Excel computer skills assumed
Be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of San Francisco headquarters
Ability to thrive and promote a culture of continuous process improvement and change
Compensation Full-time salaried position with incentive performance component. Compensation dependent on prior experience.
