Job Summary:This is an individual contributor position and he/she will be responsible for in depth analytical support, ad hoc analysis, variance analysis with department heads and Senior Management. This position will report to the Controller or CFO.
Qualifications and Capabilities
BA + in accounting or finance, CPA or MBA preferred
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Excellent analytical skills with superb attention to detail
Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing with ability to organize and present complex information
Able to work effectively and pro-actively under tight deadlines, prioritizing multiple tasks and priorities while accomplishing goals
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Strong Excel and Access data management skills and familiarity with SQL database querying and reporting
Experience
8+ years experience as a Financial Analyst or equivalent; 1-3 years? experience as Finance Manager in Manufacturing / R&D / Inventory with strong cost accounting background
Familiarity with FRx Reporting Writing and FAS Fixed Asset System preferred
Experience working with a global Parent Company and global finance counterparts
Duties & Responsibilities:
Development and delivery of periodic financial performance reporting and business performance analysis and reporting
Collaborate with accounting to establish standard costs and monitor COGS changes
Identify and implement inventory and cost-related process improvements.
Assist/lead in audit process
Works with functional managers and staff in the financial management of their organizations, including project financial management, financial performance tracking, and process improvement efforts
Lead overall quarterly, semi-annual and annual forecast process and budget updates
Monthly review of actuals and variance analysis with department heads
Prepare financial presentations to internal and external audiences
Create financial models and provide ad-hoc financial analysis
Monthly & quarterly financial reporting and business analysis narratives
Evaluate current budgeting process, propose improvements and lead implementation effort
Accounting principles and issues research, as needed
Assist in the preparation of internal/external presentations
