Finance Manager-Sourcing & Spending Palo Alto Networks

Palo Alto Networks, the network security company, is looking for an experienced and knowledgeable individual to ensure that the company's spending in non-manufacturing areas is as effective and efficient as possible. Areas that this position will manage include:
Indirect spending procurement management
-Develop framework for sourcing of non-material purchases including:

• Reciprocal transactions

• Concentrating of buying power

• Due diligence for vendor selection

• Multiple bid requirements

-Define spending categories and develop analysis of spending by category
-Implement spending reviews by category with appropriate business owners. Identify areas for spending reduction or more effective procurement of goods and services
-Support/facilitate development of frame agreements and e-Sourcing
-Oversee administration of Palo Alto Networks travel and corporate credit card programs
-Maintain/update company purchasing policy
-Drive improvements in Company's purchase requisition/order process, ensuring POs in all departments are created on a timely and accurate basis
-Support quarterly accrual process as requested, including analytics required to justify/support a statistical accrual
Position reports to the Senior Director of Financial Operations. Will supervise one full-time consultant and will likely take on additional supervisory responsibilities as the Company grows.
Requirements
1. BA required. MBA desired.
2. Minimum six years' experience in high-technology companies. Experience desired in the following areas:
a. Indirect spending procurement, preferably with fast growing high tech companies. Proven record of achieving quantifiable expense reductions and savings.
b. Expense analysis and management.
c. Managing large, multi-phase projects.
3. Six Sigma black belt training/certification a plus.
4. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to work efficiently and effectively with line executives to provide clear guidance.
5. Ability to work effectively with other Finance team members.
6. Prior supervisory experience of administrative and professional personnel strongly desired.
7. Experience in SAP, BPC and BW/BO is strongly desired.
