5+ years of demonstrated sales success in the finance sector
Finance data sales or buy-side background preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills and proven ability to interact directly with hedge fund and investment bank executives
Proven ability as a self-starter is required
Comfortable with phone, web, and face to face presentations
Preference will be given to those with knowledge and understanding of the Social Media/Analytics space
Consistent over-achievement of revenue goals
Preference given to those based in NYC, but some travel will be required
Build sales pipeline by identifying & qualifying prospects in the finance sector
Actively and effectively promote and sell Gnip solutions to prospects and target accounts
Assist the product team in identifying new solutions and data sources to serve this growing market
Establish strong partnerships to drive market penetration
Follow up and up-sell existing customer base by spending time with each client to better understand their unique business needs and requirements
