Finance Tutor Position SMARTHINKING.com

Position Summary:

SMARTHINKING is hiring motivated individuals to serve as online tutors for introductory (Junior) level Finance courses.



A Washington, D.C.-based Internet company, SMARTHINKING provides students in high school and college with real-time tutoring through our online learning environment. Our tutors work flexible hours from home, school or anywhere with Internet service.



Candidates must have Internet access and be able to demonstrate proficiency in the specific areas in which they wish to tutor.



The ideal candidate will have:

College level teaching/tutoring experience in introductory and intermediate finance courses.
A good understanding of intro/intermediate level accounting subjects.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to troubleshoot problems calmly in potentially stressful situations.
Strong typing and computer skills.

Tutors must be available to work a minimum of 9 hours per week. Applications are encouraged from full/adjunct faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, and all experienced tutors.
