The Senior Financial Analyst will take a lead role in a broad range of operational accounting activities including monthly closing and forecasting processes, annual business plan processes, analyzing and monitoring operational costing information (including variance analyses), and other ad-hoc analyses/project duties as required. The position will also actively participate in supervisory duties (TMP, day-to-day, activities, etc.) of the department.
oBachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics
o5 years of previous job related experience.
oDemonstrated ability to lead efforts to yield accurate cost analysis and operational accounting.
oAdvanced proficiency in MS Office.
oGreat Plains experience.
oExperience in SAP or other ERP systems.
oStrong project management skills.
oStrong written and oral communication skills.
Helpful / Preferred
oMaster?s degree in Account, Finance or related field.
Functions and Responsibilities (?in addition to other duties as assigned)
1.Assist in the preparation and development of reports that summarize and forecast business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses and earnings based on past, present and expected operations.
2.Manage monthly closing process including the validation and analysis of monthly financial statements for the legal entity in accordance with company policies and GAAP.
3.Responsible for the oversight, support and guidance and/or direction of strong dotted-line reports including monitoring and accessing performance.
4.Maintain oversight of legal entity business systems applications and actively drive and lead system change related evaluation and implementation requirements.
5.Act as liaison between management to ensure the company has a clear and accurate picture of overall financial performance; drive financial improvement throughout the organization
6.Interpret financial information and provide financial guidance for capital investments and related business case/justifications.
7.Evaluate alternative means of treating transactions and consider the need for new or changed controls; plan the manner in which account structures should be developed or modified.
8.Responsible for managing talent through effective communication, training, coaching and development.
9.Complete other duties as assigned.
