THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for many of the financial aspects for his/her internal clients, including but not limited to strategic analysis, reporting and decision support for assigned internal clients.
Budgeting and Forecasting :
Leads budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for supported groups.
Transforms financial data into concise and accurate financial information.
Prepares and manages annual budgets, monthly forecasts of revenue and expenses, and capital.
Manages short and long-range financial planning and capital forecasting.
Manages and/or conducts financial analysis (revenue, cost, profit, KPI?s, balance sheet, pricing).
Performs trend analysis with respect to key metrics.
Works with the Finance team and internal business partners to evaluate business performance from both a strategic and financial perspective.
Reviews and explains significant account variances when comparing actual, budgets, and forecasts.
Assesses risk of new products and potential impact on stakeholder value.
Provides finance support for the development of new tools and methods to support internal customers.
Ensures compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
Assists the Finance team in formulating and implementing new financial systems, tools, and methods.
Translates planning guidelines from Corporate Finance to specific performance objectives.
Performance Management :
Prepare monthly variance analysis, operating statistics, and presentation material.
Review reports on budget related issues and special projects.
Works with department managers to develop various monthly and annual budget presentations.
Works with and supports operational managers as part of annual budget, monthly forecasting, and month-end closing analysis.
Ensures that the decision-making processes have the relevant and sound financial information.
Ensures that capital investments are continually reassessed in terms of the financial impact.
Identifies funding issues, risks and opportunities and works with internal business partners to resolve these.
Provides both financial and non-financial reporting to ensure that managers have valid, current information to enable both strong financial ownership and appropriate inputs to the decision-making processes.
Analysis includes cost controls, profitability improvement, and asset efficiencies.
Bachelor?s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field is required.
1-4 years relevant experience, preferably in a high growth, fast-paced technology company.
Must have a ?roll up your sleeves? approach, be highly analytical and forward thinking. This is a role that requires resourcefulness, and high degree of curiosity and strategic thinking to add value to the short and long term business planning aspects of the company as part of the senior leadership team.
Highly analytical, rigorous, and quantitative individual. Comfortable working in a growing and changing organization.
Strong verbal and written communications skills. A person who can be effective and persuasive across multiple disciplines and across all levels of the company. Must be a strong team player.
Strong technical skills including advanced knowledge of MS Applications, including PowerPoint, modeling experience with Excel, and data mining experience with large, multi-dimensional/ERP database tools.
Demonstrated ability to follow sound business ethics when executing job responsibilities to build and maintain management confidence.
