Financial Analyst Eco-Products

This role will be a key asset in the continuing growth of the company. This individual will be supporting the finance department and will be involved in analysis of contracts, pricing and brokers while supporting the Company?s financial quarterly forecast, annual budgeting process, operating plan variance analysis and special projects. The FA position will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including preparing financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry/peer group comparisons, new business opportunities, acquisition analysis and other projects requested by senior management. This function acts as the analytical engine of the company to provide insights and support business decision making. Success in this position depends on being able to interpret data and draw conclusions, not just compile numbers.
Reports To: Pricing Manager
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Prepares financial and business related analysis and research in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments.
Prepares consolidated forecasts and budgets and analyzes trends in revenue, expense, capital expenditures and other related areas.
Utilizing PC and/or cloud based software; compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed.
Assists with special financial and business related studies and cooperates with other departments in preparing analyses.
Assist with compilation and analysis of consolidated budgets and long range plans.
Maintains and coordinates completion of financial review templates and meetings.
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses and capital expenditures.
Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
Oversee and manage the continued development and improvement of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling tools.
Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis.
Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports.
Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives.
Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management.
Supporting Senior Management Team and Departments heads with in-depth analysis.
Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or CPA preferred.
Typically requires two years business related experience.
Must be able to make decisions and solve problems that are general in nature and for which there are precedents.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member with excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent time management skills.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and comfortable working within a cloud based ERP system.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Database Experience is preferred but not required
Crystal Report experience is highly desired
Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated.
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
Fast-paced, high-pressure with tight deadlines to meet during the planning cycle.
Full time exempt position: 40 hours/week; Monday - Friday from 8am ? 5pm.
