THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Financial Analyst is responsible for financial planning and forecasting, ad hoc analysis and reporting in an exciting late stage start-up company.
The focus of the position is on the analytics and project tracking for all Engineering departments. The job will require the creation of value-added reports, detailed financial models and metrics. This position primarily supports expense reporting, forecasting, and budgeting. Additionally it will support corporate P/L reporting, monthly results vs. plan analysis, as well as other ad-hoc analysis. This position will work directly with multi-functional groups on modeling and analysis, assess projects opportunities and risks as well as recommend action plans to management.

Provide financial analysis and support for the business including financial planning, budgeting, profitability, forecasting, variance analysis, and other areas as needed.
Develop detailed reports and summaries to analyze and describe financial activity and assists line management in interpreting results as well as predicting future activity.
Develop complex spreadsheet models used in financial and business analysis.
Independently analyzes complex data to identify relevant information, develop key takeaways, and make required recommendations.
Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts and reporting.
Establish objectives, policies and plans for the business finance department to ensure planned revenue profits are achieved.
Communicate with all levels of the company including Sr. Management.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Finance or related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degree and/or certifications (CPA, MBA or CFA) preferred.
5-10 years of experience in financial analysis or related field.
Proven Experience with corporate financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting is a must.
Skills and Experience
Financial Modeling experience preferred.
Prior Engineering support preferred.
Ability to employ complex analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis and forecasting of financial and other business information.
Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills with well-developed presentation skills.
Ability to work in a fasted paced environment while being very detailed.
Ability to manage competing priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives.
Practical knowledge of financial analysis and planning software applications as well as Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project
