Financial Analyst - Cloud Computing Acquia
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Acquia is seeking an exceptional candidate to focus on reporting, analysis, forecasting and pricing of the Acquia Cloud line of business. The successful candidate will support our internal teams in understanding and optimizing our usage of Amazon Web Services and other cloud services to determine and maximize profitability. This is a dynamic position requiring utilization of a broad range of skills to develop, interpret, problem solve and implement complex financial concepts that must be combined with strong business acumen. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, an analytical mindset, and exceptional Excel modeling skills to be able to analyze business needs and translate the concepts into financial models.
Acquia and its Acquia Cloud product is growing rapidly and generating a tremendous amount of data which you will help analyze. Our cloud business runs on 5000+ servers on Amazon?s cloud, stores petabytes of data and serves billions of pageviews every month. The Cloud Financial Analyst will work to tie together data from various disparate systems in order to maintain a comprehensive model of the usage of cloud resources. He/she will work to maintain a data warehouse containing cloud resource utilization, cloud billing details and customer subscription information. The Cloud Financial Analyst will utilize available data and trending information in order to determine present and future growth expectations as well as financial performance. The Cloud Financial Analyst will be responsible for making recommendations for improving efficiency across product lines and implementing policy, procedure and control.
The Cloud Financial Analyst will report directly to the Senior Director of Operations but work closely with the Director of Planning and Analysis, the VP of Cloud Engineering and Product Managers in order to build comprehensive reports, recommend and implement system changes, and improve the overall efficiency of Acquia cloud services.
BS degree in Accounting, Business or similar degrees
Expert Excel skills, including experience building complex, robust, dynamic, and scalable analyses and models
Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL, or strong interest in learning
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Excellent time management skills to meet tight time constraints and data reporting requirements
Experience working with database systems (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.)
Data warehousing experience
Data visualization experience (R, Matlab, etc.)
Experience working with 3rd party service providers and their disparate billing and reporting systems
