Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Financial Analyst out of our New York City Headquarters to provide support for financial planning, business analysis and process improvement support to SSA & Company and our sister companies. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance. Responsibilities for the role include:
Preparing financial excel models to support business analysis, including income statement and cashflow scenarios
Assisting with coordination and implementation of the planning process and forecasting
Developing new reporting and analytical tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of monitoring business unit performance. This includes conducting analysis on past performance and risk assessments of forecast submissions
Reviewing and summarizing accounting data into presentable, manageable formats to support business decisions
Performing other special projects as assigned related to in-depth revenue, expense, and spending analysis. Provides financial support to assigned key projects and initiatives.
Assisting developing management presentations
Identifying new processes and systems to help accounting/finance operate more efficiently
Requirements:
We hire great people, regardless of any one specific qualification. However, ideal qualifications include:
Up to 2 years of professional experience (background in management consulting/finance is a plus)
Bachelor?s degree in economics, finance, or business preferred
Advanced Excel skills
Strong financial background including familiarity with financial statements
Strong analytical skills with ability to perform required analysis quickly and accurately under tight deadlines, communicate requirements effectively and produce detailed and accurate reports
Excellent organizational and communications skills, both verbal and written
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in teams
High level of initiative and responsibility with a dedication to quality
Minimum overall GPA of 3.2
