POSITION: Financial Analyst

LOCATION: Alpharetta, GA

SUMMARY:

The Financial Analyst assists with the preparation of annual budget and monthly forecasts, prepares meaningful reports comparing plans and forecasts to actual results, performs sensitivity analysis on forecasts and actively participates in creating quarter end reporting, schedules and presentations and supports Functional management with other ad hoc financial projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Assist in developing annual budgets, weekly/monthly/quarterly forecasts and financial key business indicators. Coordinate with department management to develop revenue/expense budgets and support Corporate FP&A team as needed.

§ Prepare budget packages & presentation materials.

§ Analyze monthly financial data by comparing budget, actual and forecasted results and incorporate those variance analysis findings into monthly reporting including written commentary for Management.

§ Develop and present proposals based on analysis with recommended action.

§ Assist in the preparation of quarterly reports, schedules and presentations

§ Design and automate models for reporting and measurement of business unit performance.

§ Interact with departments to identify and implement changes based upon analysis of current systems, policies, procedures and processes.

§ Monitors industry best practices in budgeting, forecasting and reporting and makes recommendations to management on ways to continuously improve and automate Infor's forecasting process.

• Act as the liaison between business units and finance. Maintain strong working relationships with accounting, budget managers and operational executives.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
• 2 to 6 years' experience

Required Skills:

• Relevant experience with business planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, variance analysis or financial modeling.
• Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
• Business performance management, Accounting and Reporting integrity.
• Ability to manage tasks concurrently
• Strong Excel skills
