What You Will Do
This is a dynamic position requiring utilization of a broad range of skills to develop, interpret, problem solve and implement complex financial concepts that must be combined with strong business acumen. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles, an analytical mindset, and exceptional Excel modeling skills to be able to analyze business needs and translate the concepts into financial models.
A critical aspect of the role will be to support Acquia?s internal teams in understanding and optimizing its usage of Amazon Web Services and other cloud services to determine and maximize profitability. Acquia and its Acquia Cloud product is growing rapidly and generating a tremendous amount of data that you will help analyze. Our cloud business runs on over 7500 servers on Amazon?s cloud, stores petabytes of data and serves billions of page views every month.
The Financial Analyst will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and will work closely with the CFO, the engineering and operations team, sales operations, and product managers in order to build comprehensive reports, recommend and implement system changes, and improve the overall efficiency of Acquia?s business.
Major responsibilities of the role include:
Own, improve and maintain Acquia?s financial model.
Own, improve and maintain Acquia?s Cloud computing model.
Create insightful analysis for Acquia?s senior management team.
Run and add insights to Acquia?s customer profitability model.
Work closely with the VP of Corporate Development on potential acquisitions.
Work with investor relations to communicate Acquia?s financial story to its current and future investor base.
Drive recommendations for improving efficiency across product lines and implementing policy, procedure and control.
Support the Director, FP&A on additional company analysis and ongoing reporting.
What will you bring to the team?
Degree from a top college or university.
2-4 years of experience in a rigorous financial atmosphere, such as investment banking or venture capital.
Experience working with technology companies.
Expert Excel skills, including experience building complex, robust, dynamic, and scalable analyses and models.
Understanding key technology companies metrics.
Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL, or strong interest in learning
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Excellent time management skills to meet tight time constraints and data reporting requirements.
Laser-like attention to detail.
