Description
This newly created position will be primarily responsible for providing financial support to the Sales & Marketing (S&M) organization. This highly visible role will interact with various levels of management, and lead all finance activities by providing financial leadership, in-depth analysis, and financial modeling expertise to ensure the S&M functions achieve their financial goals and plans.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Development of departmental expense, headcount and capital budgets; partner with the business to maintain an 18-month rolling forecast.
Lead monthly reviews of spending results with the sales and marketing organizations; engaging business partners and the accounting team to determine month-end accruals; and, create and provide analytical support for presentation materials and ad hoc requests.
Partner with the marketing team to monitor and track effectiveness of marketing program spend. Includes development of metrics and dashboards to accurately measure and report on results.
Leverage solid Excel and financial modeling skills to evaluate new product launch strategies, impact of pricing proposals, and other scenario sensitivity analyses.
Assist the Revenue and Sales Ops teams with reporting and packaging monthly/quarterly revenue metrics to meet internal (BOD, Sr. Management) and external (SEC reporting, Earnings Call) reporting requirements.
Learn and master Anaplan ? our financial budgeting and reporting tool ? and serve as the primary back-up for the system administrator.
Perform variety of tasks and ad-hoc analysis, as necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree in finance or accounting; MBA is a plus.
Three to five years experience, with increasing responsibility within the Finance organization. Biotechnology/Medical Device industry experience is a plus.
Solid understanding of GAAP; high level of business acumen; highly motivated and dedicated individual.
Excellent interpersonal skills; well organized, detail oriented; strong oral and written communication skills; effective problem solver with creative solutions.
Strong systems skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access). Experience leveraging ERP (SAP, Oracle) and FPM (Hyperion, Cognos) systems to their fullest.
