Descriptionebrary, a ProQuest company, is a leading e-book provider to libraries and researchers worldwide. ProQuest's FP&A team is recruiting a Sr. Financial Analyst to support ebrary's rapid growth. He/She will be a key member of the FP&A team designated to provide financial, strategic and analytical support to ebrary.
This position is responsible for conducting core near-term and long term cost planning, reporting and analysis.
What you'll be doing:
Manage month-end book-close including cost accruals and Journal Entries to ensure accurate Cost Results (direct/operationa/capitalized/BTL)
Prepare month-end result reporting and variance analysis (vs. budget and latest rolling forecasts)
Analyze and interpret results to provide the Senior Management team a clear picture of the company's financial positions and to equip the functional leaders with timely business/financial intelligence (including risks/opportunities/recommendations) to effectively improve operational efficiency
Plan cost (all lines of operational/direct/capitalized/BTL expenses) budgets for all functional groups based on the operational, financial and strategic drivers.
Prepare Profit & Loss statements for new product/project initiatives
Manage headcount and payroll cost performances (actual tracking, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis) for all functional groups.
What you'll need to be successful:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
3-5 years FP&A experience with progress financial (cost accounting focused) responsibilities
Excel Super-user, Experienced MS Access/ PowerPoint user
Proven analytical skills, with attention to details and an intellectually inquisitive attitude
Familiarity with Oracle and Hyperion preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform well and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast paced environment
Occasional travel required
