Financial Consolidation Analyst TOA Technologies
The Financial Consolidation Analyst position in the corporate finance group will help prepare the consolidated budgeting and forecasting for internal and board reporting. They will participate in month-end close process as well as analyze and report on the resulting financials to a variety of internal stakeholders.
Participate in month-end close process by analyzing actual expense, balance sheet and cash flow versus budget/forecast and documenting variances.
Analyze and report on financials and partner with senior management to manage actuals to budgets
Work with business partners to understand business requirements and populate financial models to demonstrate the financial impact.
Prepare monthly and forecast cycle reports required by our corporate partners
Prepare forecast summaries and analysis for presentations
Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis and investigate issues providing explanations and interpretation
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Related Field required
5 - 7 years of complex corporate accounting experience, with a strong background in consolidations, budgeting and forecasting required.
2 ? 3 years of public accounting experience early in career highly preferred.
Ability to identify and communicate recommendations for improving reporting templates and analyses
Demonstrate a solid understanding of the structure and components of the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
Ability to investigate urgent non-standard requests and problems
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, functions, formulas, calculations, V-lookups, etc) required
Past experience working with or for software companies or services firms is desirable, specifically regarding the concepts of utilization of professional services resources at a customer and/or revenue recognition for complex services contracts and/or software-as-a-service contracts
Database experience required
Hyperion Essbase, Cognos or Adaptive Planning experience strongly preferred
Ability to work independently
Strong written and oral communication skills
Substantial Problem Solving Experience
Ability to learn and improve business systems
Act as a team player, but also be able to work independently
Ability to prioritize and organize their own work to meet strict deadlines
Strong willingness to be flexible, as working for a start-up demands long hours with no real set schedule. While the team as whole will help off-set this, you need to build credibility with your team and your stakeholders in this area, especially early on.
Ability to adapt and grasp new concepts, as you will very frequently be called to do things outside your job description
