Financial Controller Getaround

NetSuite, Excel, FP&AAs Getaround's Financial Controller, you?ll be providing day-to-day leadership for Getaround?s accounting operations and financial reporting obligations. You?ll help us build our accounting infrastructure, standardize processes, ensure tax compliance, and prepare analyses to support our rapidly growing, pre-IPO company.
What You?ll Be Doing
Oversee company accounting functions, including timely recording and accurate financial reporting
Drive a timely monthly close process, quarterly reviews and annual audits
Handle internal and external reporting, revenue recognition, general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, fixed asset management, taxes, insurance and stock administration.
Prepare US GAAP consolidated financial statements.
Manage relationships with external auditors.
Conduct financial planning and analysis
Develop and provide oversight of key financial policies and procedures, including expense management, billing and other related policies.
Ensure that accounting activities and reporting are in accordance with established legal, regulatory and company procedures.
Prepare annual operational budget; work closely with departmental managers to track variances and anticipate potential issues. Analyze profit and loss drivers within the business.
Identify cost control measures and initiatives to ensure that the organization is run in a cost-effective manner.
Requirements
5+ years of relevant work experience driving the corporate accounting policies and operations for a fast-growing software/Internet company.
Superior knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and compliance
Current on best practices, compliance and ethical business practices
Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
Proven record of managing and motivating a financial accounting team
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects while simultaneously meeting all goals and deadlines
Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
Additional Awesomeness
Current CPA designation, with experience working in a nationally recognized public accounting firm.
Familiarity with NetSuite, Bill.com and Expensify
Track record of success in leading the financial reporting for a SaaS/Cloud-based business, or similar Internet company experience
Proven leader in financial reporting for a company through a period of high growth
Entrepreneurial spirit, with resourceful, problem-solving nature
Strong desire to tackle new challenges and projects with enthusiasm
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Passion for sustainability and pioneering next-generation transportation
