Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst Talyst
Overview:
This is a temporary position responsible for partnering with all functional areas of Talyst to prepare annual budgets and financial modeling/reporting, and business case analysis. Serve as a resource for Executives to supply analysis on potential business initiatives and pricing strategies.
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and analyze financial reports and processes for efficiencies.
Provide cost comparison evaluations and support the business in development of long-term financial models, analytical projects and metrics for proposed business initiatives.
Partner with Accounting leadership to facilitate the development of the annual budget and provide monthly financial reporting and analysis to management.
Work with executives throughout the company to develop the annual operating budget including product sales targets, revenue objectives, gross margins, headcount, and operating expenses
Prepare, analyze and distribute monthly financial reporting package to the management team. Assist in the preparation of quarterly updates on forecasting for profitability and cash flow.
Partner with key internal stakeholders to identify and define how to improve operational performance using solid data points to clearly display change opportunities and benefits.
Protect the confidentiality of sensitive and/or proprietary company information.
Be a champion of Talyst and represent the organization in a professional manner.
Develop tools and processes for regular daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
Provide excellent internal customer service to both internal and external customers.
Support and promote the Talyst values through positive interactions with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
Attend to other initiatives and goals as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
4+ years of accounting and financial concepts.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to work with all levels of the organization and successfully deliver information and recommendations to leadership.
Ability to analyze data andon assess improvement areas based on solid findings.
A proven track record in systems analysis and project management methodologies
Experience at business process/workflow modeling, analysis and documentation
Strong organization and communication skills. Must be able to communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical individuals
Experience with data modeling and analysis, including understanding of relational database and data warehouse architecture/concepts
Solid knowledge of industry practices and technical systems and a solid understanding of the potential use of technology solutions in a business environment
Strong proficiency with MS Office suite, especially a strong understanding of Excel.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to interface with customers and partners in a professional manner.
Ability to cope with interruptions, prioritize and work on many tasks simultaneously and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks.
Requires the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Experience working in a goal oriented, delivery focused, and dynamic environment.
Working Conditions:
The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting. Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Minimal corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
