Specific Areas of Responsibility:Lead and engineer key transactional business processes to improve operating efficiency.
Lead documentation of business processes in preparation of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Establish an internal controls test plan and implement testing procedures to ensure the adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting, which includes working closely with the IT department.
Drive all aspects of SEC reporting including Form 10-K, 10-Qs, Form 8-Ks, etc. including preparation and review of MD&A and other financial content as required by the filings.
Drive internal management financial reporting.
Working closely with controller and CFO to ensure timely management of all financial reporting reviews and audits.
Keeping current on the latest technical pronouncements and assessing the impact of such pronouncements on the business and our reporting requirements.
Review financial presentations and publications developed for external financial information to ensure consistency.
Oversee payroll function ensuring compliance with all relevant payroll regulations.
Education and Specific Skills:
Strong attention to detail, deadline driven, well organized, and able to work effectively and independently across various functional areas
Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
8-10+ years of relevant experience
Current experience in SEC reporting and strong technical accounting skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP and SEC regulations under both the 1933 and 1934 Acts
CPA with Big 4 experience
Excellent writing skills
