The Finance team, reporting to the CFO, is a shared service organization that provides accounting, accounts payable, collections, credit, financial analysis and reporting, payroll, tax, and treasury support to all channels of the Adknowledge business.
Our team is comprised of 18 domestic people and one international person (located in the UK) that are enthusiastic and intelligent professionals who are passionate about the work they do and the people that they work with. Our fast paced, start-up mentality has been a key contributor to our continued growth and success.
This position is located on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO and reports to the Director of Financial Reporting. Primary duties include:
Reporting ? Coordinating, compiling, and issuing all external reporting to Company partners including investors, bankers. Should the Company consider an initial public offering (IPO), additional responsibilities would include coordinating and compiling respective SEC forms, such as Forms S-1, 10-K, 10-Q, 11-K, and earnings releases.
Internal Controls - Develop and implement reporting processes and procedures necessary for an efficient and well controlled financial reporting department (including the potential requirements of SOX 404 compliance and testing)
Process Improvement ? Ability to think critically about accounting process in order to drive innovative process improvements that both achieve processing efficiency and improve accuracy.
Stock Based Compensation ? Assist in the administration of the Company?s equity instruments including the stock compensation plan. Provide technical accounting support for unique or non-routine equity transactions.
Annual Audit ? Acting as primary point of contact with external auditors and manage the Company?s support of the auditor
Special Projects ? Support the Company?s efforts with special projects as they arise. Examples could include technical accounting research or other projects related to discontinued operations, stock based compensation, or valuation related requests.
The successful candidate will be passionate and possess the following characteristics:
Degree in Accounting with minimum of five years experience
Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office with particular emphasis in Excel pivot table and database functions (Great Plains and SQL a plus)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in an SEC reporting environment whether in a public accounting or industry setting a plus
CPA and ?Big 4? experience a plus
