Financial Services Market Segment Manager Black Duck Software
This role will serve as Black Duck?s worldwide leader, spearheading our market entry, market development and ultimate domination of the financial services market segment. This role will work closely with our field sales team within key financial centers around the world (NY, London, Paris, Tokyo, Hong Kong) and enable their success, while collaborating with product management & development to drive requirements, and working with the broader marketing team to execute an aggressive go-to-market strategy.
Establish Black Duck?s business in the financial services market segment (banking, investment management and insurance) from our nascent position with early adopters to market leadership.
Define go-to-market strategy and positioning; develop and support the sales strategy including building the case for action, defining typical entry points, sequencing, etc.
Team with field sales, marketing, product and consulting teams to align our product and services with Financial Services customer needs.
Become the Financial Services expert internally, be our spokesperson/evangelist externally, and champion working with customers, partners, industry associations, and analysts.
Develop marketing content and messaging that positions our solutions for success in financial services.
Deliver sales enablement tools that align with buying and purchasing cycles.
Identify and prioritize the go-to-market strategies and marketing programs to support execution of the strategy.
Collaborate with Corporate Marketing on development and the communication of messaging for this segment.
Collaborate with the broader Marketing team to ensure consistency, alignment and efficiency of the marketing efforts for financial services.
Reports to the EVP of Revenue and Segment Marketing.
Business or Technical Bachelor's Degree. MBA, a plus.
5-7+ years experience in marketing or business development roles at enterprise software companies. for the financial services segment. Must have a track record of success developing the financial services segment.
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, Basel III, PCI DSS), IT application development and IT frameworks (e.g. ITIL, COSO & COBIT, CMMi), and the ability to position Black Duck?s offerings in support of/with these frameworks.
Excellent communication skills: Verbal, written, presentation, and social.
Ability to work effectively, independently and collaborate with global partners and field sales teams.
Strong entrepreneurial drive and ability to operate independently.
Travel up to 30% of the time, including internationally.
Knowledge of open source software and how it?s used in IT application development.
