Position: The Finishing Manager position is a hands-on supervisory position responsible for managing industrial operations and personnel. This position will ensure that the manufacturing plant maintains a consistently high level of efficiency. S/he will also be responsible for promoting a safe and positive work environment. The Finishing manager should possess strong people skills, leadership qualities, managerial abilities, a sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, self-motivation and the desire and focus to improve the business.Tasks will include:
?Supervise, train, and assist operators in the performance of their duties.
?Schedule, assign, and supervise work with the objective of maximizing quality, productivity, and profit.
?Understand schedule requirements and opportunities for improvement in jobs.
?Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission. Specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
?Play a significant role in long-term planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
?Production Supervisor may be asked to perform all duties and responsibilities of an operator, line worker, maintenance mechanic or forklift driver.
Qualifications:
?Minimum 5 years experience in a supervising position
?Demonstrated strong management skills
?Must be detail oriented and organized
?Must have good communication with all levels of staff
?Ability to keep a safe and clean working environment
?The Production Supervisor must be well trained in computer software such as: MS Office, MS Access
?Must be proficient in the English language both written and oral.
