What you will obtain:

Key qualifications:
You MUST live in the SF Bay Area or currently in process of moving here.
You must LOVE technology and be able to prove it.
Be results, not process driven.
You might have experience in one of the following areas: FinTech - worked with or for PayPal, Fair Isaac, Visa or other companies selling to credit granters. Consumer Behavior - worked for companies using behavioral analytics such as oPower or Progressive. Machine Learning - analysis of massive datasets to discover signals.
Prior start-up experience very important: Ideally you have been in at least one startup under 20 people for a material period of time, understand startup compensation (sliding cash-equity scale) and are able and willing to work long hours with a great team of fun people.
Best candidates will know lots of the commonly used APIs and know how to find others to get the task done.
General experience:
Has the maturity and expertise to continually question our approach to problems.
Ability to create clean, simple APIs for complex, difficult problems.
3+ years of related professional software development experience.
BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Physics, Math, Electrical Engineering or technical Background with Software specialization needed.
Strong understanding of Internet/web, scalable and high-performance web-based systems and web-related technologies.
Strong server-side application development experience with PHP/Java/Python/Ruby/C/C++.
Good experience with Client-side application development in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Significant professional experience with MySQL and development of database-backed applications.
Experience developing technical design documentation and participating in a technical design and code peer review process.
GIT and JIRA development experience is a plus.
