Fleet Manager Modular Space Corporation
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Fleet Manager (FM) has primary responsibility to protect and manage the ModSpace fleet of assets on site, both through in-house staff and outside vendors, to deliver world class customer satisfaction cost-effectively.
Maintains modular unit fleet and facility appearance
Monitors, investigates, and implements cost reduction initiatives
Provides Sales support by estimating project costs and assisting with asset selection
Supports Asset Management initiatives
Manages employees, vendors, purchasing controls and cost budgets
Manages outgoing and incoming inspection of units and perform customer site inspections as necessary
Manages business operating system rebills and inspection data input
Ensures compliance with ModSpace policies/procedures, ModSpace safety and environmental programs and OSHA regulations
Maintains truck and Driver records and files in accordance with ModSpace policy and procedures and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
Maintains accurate floor plans and unit specifications
Teams with Construction Services to perform fleet modifications as necessary
Manages medium size modular projects
Manages inventory on daily basis to control costs and complete monthly inventory reports
Performs other duties as assigned
The successful FM candidate has/is:
A Bachelor's degree (in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing, or Engineering) OR a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years experience (in operations, construction/fleet management, or real estate)?
PC proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and has the ability to master integrated fleet management software
Budget/expense management experience
Experience managing direct reports
Experience managing and negotiating with vendors
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines in high volume workload situations
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Focused on customer service
Proven ability in customer conflict management/resolution
DOT and OSHA regulation knowledge and works in accordance with established safety procedures
A Valid Driver?s License
Able to travel occasionally overnight
A High School Diploma or GED - preferred
A Bachelor's degree - preferred
Facility/branch relocation supervisory experience - preferred
