Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment is seeking a well qualified candidate to fill the role of Forecast and Planning, who will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Strategic Planning and Forecasting. This position will support the general day to day financial reporting cycle, month-end close and various corporate reporting and forecasting analytics relating and pertaining to finance, marketing, sales and operations. In this role, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a broad array of forecasting, analysis and reporting activities including primary responsibility for the following:
? Prepare daily/weekly/monthly forecasting on a title level for studios and retailers, month-end deliverables and reporting for Gaiam-Vivendi Entertainment entities
? Provide a number of key reports and texture for studio and retail business Reviews
? Provides all GVE studios and internal with a snapshot of each NR title's performance 14 weeks before and after street date, showcasing a number of key metrics by account
? Provides POS sales and sell-thru reporting for new release titles, sourcing data from industry and internal resources
? Use historical BPI %, current year performance index, seasonality performance and direction from sales to properly forecast new release goals
? Price protection forecasting and analysis for key studio partners and internal
? Post price protection determination of by account credits due
? Support special project and process improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
? Bachelors degree in business/economics/management/finance preferred
? 1-3 years experience in sales forecasting, merchandise planning, and quantitative analysis in home entertainment, consumer products or packaged goods experience preferred.
? Good understanding of supply chain principles, retail landscape, distribution models, pricing structure and forecasting/budgeting basics
? Strong systems experience surrounding planning, financial management, reporting
? Strong Excel skills required: pivots, v-look-up and access data modification needed.
? Strong analytical skills required; able to effectively multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
? Energetic candidate with strong oral and written communication skills, team player attitude, and the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
? Home Entertainment industry experience preferred
? Authorized to work in the US.
