Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Financial Analyst to support the corporate finance and FP&A groups within the Finance division at ServiceSource. This role offers significant growth and development opportunities, with exposure to a broad range of company functions. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Financial Analyst will regularly interact with Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Pricing and IT/R&D teams.
Proven analytical skills are essential for this role. The Financial Analyst must also have appropriate diplomatic skills to work across the organization and be able to easily defend positions from a data perspective.
Qualifications
Two to three years experience, ideally from an analytically intensive role (e.g., FP&A, corporate finance & corporate accounting)
A minimum of a Bachelor?s degree in economics, finance, mathematics, or engineering
Demonstrated analytical proficiency; ability to build complex Excel models and draw insights based on independent analysis of financial and operational data
Solid understanding of the basic principles of finance and accounting
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high growth, dynamic culture
Highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, adept at managing expectations, and able to set and adjust priorities as needed.
Interpersonal skills to engage professionally with experienced sales personnel, executives and support teams
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
Experience in the high tech industry is a plus, but not required
Able to work across time-zones
High level of Intensity, integrity and dedication
Responsibilities
Analyze key operational performance metrics to understand drivers of revenue, expenses and operational risks.
Develop accurate operating expense forecasts; track costs and assist in managing the company?s operating plan to improve profitability.
Generate business reports and associated analysis as needed to support the business.
Build analytical models to perform ad-hoc financial analyses.
Develop and manage financial forecasting models and tools to support our financial planning and forecasting processes on a companywide basis.
Serve as liaison between the finance division and other departments at ServiceSource to facilitate data collection, process improvements, infrastructure development and cross company initiatives.
Partner broadly across the finance organization to maintain best practices and consistency.
