THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Freelance Junior Art Director will be responsible for the management of the day-to-day sale photography on ready-to-wear and still life sets. This role supports the art directors and helps to execute the creative vision of the Gilt brand.
The Freelance Junior A/D is responsible for the leadership of the on-set team, and as such, good time management and communication skills are key. This role will oversee model and hair + make-up direction, and partner with the photographer and stylist to achieve the highest quality output.
Gilt?s product photography should always feel elevated and beautiful, and the Junior A/D will be an integral part of keeping up these standards..
? Creative preparation, art direction and management of photo shoots
? Follow seasonal direction and color palette where applicable
? Inspire and motivate the team. The photo team has a high output of creative imagery and the art director must be able to lead the team to produce fresh, amazing images on a daily basis.
? Huge attention to details ? product photography must be consistent and fall within the established guidelines.
? Manage timing of shoots to accomplish high shot counts and keep everything efficient.
? Review sales with Art Directors and team leaders frequently.
? Work towards innovative ways to show off the merchandise in the best possible way.
? 2+ years experience with photo art direction
Available on a freelance basis
? BFA in communication design, art direction or related field
? In-depth knowledge of photographers and fashion industry
? Strong design background and eye for composition
? Strong time-management, communication skills, and ability to multi-task
? Proficient in latest design tools (Specifically Photoshop and InDesign)
? Overall obsession with fashion photography and e-commerce (tuned into what is happening each season? styling trends, hair/make-up, competitive landscape, etc)
? Must have a positive and professional attitude
