GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:NextIO, the leader in I/O Virtualization management, is seeking a candidate to continue design and development of a data center class, web-based management application for an embedded management software stack. The application is implemented in YUI 3 using standards-compliant HTML/CSS. The developer will be responsible for creating the layout, HTML/CSS and all front-end application logic for data presentation. This person will be a part of the software development team and will perform design, development and integration of the GUI within our embedded stack.
Requirements:
Expert-level knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Familiarity with JSON and AJAX.
Experience resolving cross-browser compatibility issues.
Professional development experience using a major JavaScript framework (YUI, jQuery, Dojo, MooTools, etc.).
Experience with version control and automated testing.
Experience with JSON-RPC and Comet long polling.
Pluses:
Professional experience with YUI.
Experience creating icons and other graphics (Photoshop, Illustrator, Inkscape, etc.).
Prior success building a single-page web application.
Familiarity with Mercurial or other distributed version control systems.
Experience working with an embedded platform.
