The Opportunity:
You will be a senior and contributing member of the Kosmix Real Time development team and will be responsible for driving the development of innovative consumer Real Time applications using Ruby, RoR, Ajax, Java script, etc. You will help make technology decisions, work as part of a small team, design/architect, implement and mentor. You will also be a Product Engineer, coming up with and experimenting with new ideas to engage and delight our consumers.
Qualifications:
Experience building world-class, optimized, consumer web applications
Strong understanding of OOP programming techniques and design patterns
Expert Java script/HTML/CSS/Ajax coding skills
Programming skills in Ruby, RoR and related technologies
Experience and high proficiency with web standards, CSS-based design, and cross-browser compatibility
Knowledgeable foundation in interaction design principles
Great written communication and documentation abilities
Desired Skills:
Passion/experience with social media/web 2.0 applications
Visual-design skills
BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline a plus.
