About the Opportunity
Your mission (if you choose to accept it) is to work closely with the Directors of Engineering and User Experience, and help create the absolute best user interface for our product. You will be supported by an engineering team that understands how to build next generation software. And you will be pushed by a product team that has the vision of what?s ahead. Please note that we are also very serious about having fun, as we complete this mission together.
About the Responsibilities
In between having fun and gaining insight into the true nature of information you will:
Develop UI features and interactions for the flagship product of Andera.
Specialize in, and own the user interface of the product. Including templates, markup, CSS and JavaScript
Partner with the UX team on design, implementation, prototypes, and live mockups.
Partner with service engineers on software design, dependencies and code maintainability
Rework frontend code and upgrade web interfaces and client side interaction.
Promote the use of JavaScript, CSS and Ajax best practice across the company
About You
We want you because you have:
3 - 5 years of professional experience in a front-end centric web development role
A good knowledge of front end technologies like CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript and JQuery
An understanding of template languages and web component frameworks such as JSF/Facelets or Google Web Toolkit.
Experience building form based, consumer facing, Ajax enabled, web apps.
A passion for usability, efficiency and high performance code
An eye for clean design and pixel-perfect websites
We will not hold it against you if you also have:
An excitement for the latest trends in web UI
Experience with developing for mobile experience
Experience debugging cross-browser compatibility issues
Familiarity with YSlow, Firebug, debugging front-end warnings, evaluating performance etc
Some experience in Java front-end technology
