Front-End Developer Marin Software

Marin Software builds next-generation workflow and analytical tools for the 12BN paid-search advertising market. We are headquartered in downtown San Francisco, where we work closely with local online advertising firms and networks (Google, Yahoo, MSN) to define and deliver critical tools for this growing space.

Responsibilities
To work collaboratively with the team, creating innovative solutions to difficult problems faced by a (very) large market.
A detail-oriented eye that is sensitive to the aesthetics of layout (CSS, XHTML) as well as front-end code (PHP 5/JavaScript) and has a keen sense of understanding for the latest UI design.
Adopt development methodologies and pride in product ownership, resulting in quality, efficient code -- all the while maintaining a fast, iterative pace.

Minimum Requirements
Expert knowledge of:
Object Oriented Programming (PHP5 & Java)
Handcoding Javascript, jQuery or YUI, XHTML, HTML5, CSS2
Knowledge of all browser types and their various idiosyncrasies
Understanding of basic software development methodologies and coding standards
Relational Databases (MySQL preferred)
Flex or Flash experience a plus.
Comfortable working in all environments: Linux, Max OS/X and Windows.
Previous Java 1.5 experience or coursework a major plus.
Accurate prediction of your own task completion timelines.
An innate urgency to complete projects on time and with high quality.
Open communicator and can jump in (if appropriate) to help other team members.
Educational background in Computer Science or equivalent degree preferred.

Compensation
Compensation dependent on skills and prior experience. Position includes equity participation and comprehensive benefits (healthcare, vision, dental, stocked kitchen and commuting allowance).
This is an onsite position at Marins headquarters in the Financial District in Downtown San Francisco. We are one block from the Embarcadero BART/Muni stop.
